I feel like I'm wrung out like a limp rag and it's only 7 a.m. here. Razz

Spoiler:
Oh man, I was hoping for something a little more when Ahsoka took off Rex's helmet, ngl... But wow, what an ending. Someone please explain to me why this cartoon is better than the "epic" end of a 42-year saga that we saw in theaters. Sad The animation when that ship came out of hyperspace smoking, with all those particles floating around it--my jaw just dropped. But mostly, a profound understanding of characters and human emotion and their long-term impact...

Spoiler:
I hear you, the helmet scene was so pure, so gentle, so sweet. I wanted even more. But I always want more rexsoka, lol.

I agree, the emotion was what carried the finale, everything felt earned unlike TRoS. Even things that could be fanservicey on paper were executed perfectly so you never felt like something didn't belong. Therefore you are never taken out of the moment.

@Moonjump05
IIRC, the first episode of CW was emphasizing how the clones are individuals, no matter how identical their genetic material. Except for Rex, that all falls apart here...and yet Ahsoka honors them as individuals in the end. We begin CW with Ahsoka learning to live as a Jedi, and we end with her learning to live without them, so we come full circle via symbolism, and yet the story itself has moved forward, not closed back in on itself. Filmmakers, take notes!

Spoiler:
Seeing the Morai fly high above Vader at the end scene. Beautiful! Trying to figure out the mythology, yet I know one thing - it's gorgeous!

The epilogue animation seemed different. Cannot quite place it, yet it seemed hand drawn vs computer animated.

Spoiler:
By trying to figure out the mythology, do you mean how the morai represents Ahsoka when she's still alive out there, or...?

The animation did seem different. I really know squat about animation though, so...all I can say is that I noticed that Vader's cloak moved strangely...

Tbh, it looked much more Rebels than TCW. Maybe because I'm more used to seeing Vader in that style.

@12 Parsnips

Spoiler:
I know she has spiritual ties to the Daughter and Ahsoka. Because Anakin was the one that assisted the Daughter to transfer her life energy to Ahsoka, there is probably a connection to Anakin, as well. In that scene, he's now Vader, which may be why he sees the Morai, but she flies away.

I have the building blocks, I just need to know what it means! haha Very Happy Smile

@SW_Heroine_Journey

Spoiler:
I didn't get much more than that either. I think it was just kind of symbolic, like "her spirit is hovering here by the lightsaber" kind of thing...?

That finale was epic , emotional , beautiful. It’s interesting what you are saying about the Morai and it’s links . I kind of felt it was like a vulture circling high above ( the imagery ) including the noise it made . That scene made me think of death , not just From
What he found there but the bird circling above .

@AhsokaTano

A vulture was actually what I first thought of too by the way it was circling. But have we ever seen a vulture in Star Wars? I didn't think so (but I don't always pay that much attention to that kind of thing!)... So then the convor thing hit me because it represents Ahsoka.

Oh, yes, definitely death imagery with not only burial but the cold and bleak snowscape. On the other hand, he ignites Ahsoka's blue lightsaber, representing Anakin's goodness and generosity, and with the combination of (perhaps) the morai, it gives a glimmer of deeply buried hope.
